ISIAME Material Testing Standardization Committee

International Symposium on the Industrial Applications of the Mössbauer Effect

The creation of ISIAME MTS Committee is in accordance with one of the basic goals of ISIAME movement – to stimulate contacts between the industrial and academic worlds. MTS is required to report its activities to the ISIAME SEC.

Goals of the committee are:

  1. to determine and survey the areas where accurate Mössbauer quantitative analysis can be provided for the industry, where the standardization of measurements and processes can be most easily implemented,
  2. to define and develop systems of expectations and requirements that the standardizing Mössbauer analytical procedure must satisfy,
  3. to encourage, instruct and help Mössbauer laboratories to develop standardized Mössbauer analytical procedures, measurements based on validated standards, to develop measuring equipment applicable to a given task,
  4. to check and judge whether the Mössbauer analytical procedure meets the requirements of standardization,
  5. to help the Mössbauer analytical procedure accepted by MTS to be accepted by the national and international standards offices, and then also by the IUPAC.
